The Nivin Pauly magic!

Wherever I’ve said “ Nivin Pauly” it’s as his characters and Nivin Pauly as an actor. Please read it in that sense. It interchanges often, but you’ll get the contact as you read it.

A lot of my friends fell heads over heels for Nivin Pauly after Thatthin Marayathu. But I started liking him after watching Ohm Shanthi Oshana. That movie was all about Nazriya Nazim, but I loved the character he played. After that Nivin Pauly has pretty much owned every movie he acted in.

If “rough-around-the-edges, short-tempered man who lets his fists do the talking, keeps everyone at arm’s length, but hides a tender heart and a love for you he’d never dare put into words”, had a name, that would be Nivin Pauly! He plays these characters with so much ease.. lets his eyes do the talking and heart, the loving. I had heard in an interview that Sharukh Khan has “Khuda ki Ankhen”.. which roughly translates to “the eyes of the divine”. In the Malayalam film industry, it’s Nivin Pauly! There are definitely other heroes, who have their eyes do the talking; but they all have their own niche. The one who can do romance, action, drama and comedy, all of them: there’s only Nivin Pauly. Please don’t get me wrong. Here I’m comparing Nivin Pauly to the new set of actors and no legends of Malayalam cinema.

There’s something about Nivin Pauly; when he loves a girl, he pours his heart out. He knows exactly what a girl wants, not just love, not just caring, not just safety, but also respect.

When you watch him onscreen, you remember how you once loved so intensely. You laugh with him, you cry with him, you absolutely fall in love with him.

My mother who generally sleeps through every movie, said she didn't even catch a wink because it reminded of her love story, where she loved my dad, my grandfather didn’t approve and hit her and my dad and she vowed in front of him that they will marry despite all his efforts to squash their love.

THAT is Nivin Pauly’s magic! He can make a 65-year-old woman reminisce about her love story!

I’m so glad Nivin Pauly got a second chance at life and is doing what he does best. I’m sorry but I hate his “Mahaveeryar” phase. Not that he wasn’t good at it but because I love Nivin Pauly like this. THIS is something that no one else can do!

I’m so happy for him! And pray that he continues to do such roles; which I’m sure will only come to him after “Sarvam Maya” and now “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit”. I still don’t get why the movie is called so. Well, not surprisingly, I was focused on someone else!

Changes are the order of life

“Changes are the order of life” This is a quote my 8th grade English teacher, K.C John, had written on the blackboard. English has always fascinated me. I don’t speak just as well as I write. It has a
